May road trip.

Hello dears!  I just returned from a fantastically fun road trip to Gyeongju and Busan, in the Southeast part of Korea.  The weather man said we were expected to have a 100% chance of rain in most parts of Korea, haha.  I prayed for nice weather for our trip, and we missed the rain in both places!  Praise God!

I saw so many interesting things and places.  We visited the temples at the perfect time because they were all decorated with lanterns for Buddha's birthday, which is next Tuesday, May 10th.  I feel so refreshed from spending time enjoying God's beautiful creation with great friends.  Thank you SaeRom, Eunice, and DooHyun!  I look forward to more adventures with you. :-)

Cherry blossoms blowing in the wind...

5:46 p.m. Stop at a famous traditional bakery to pick up bread for Eunice's father.

6:03 p.m. We pass by a beautiful field of yellow flowers, and I plead to SaeRom's boyfriend like a child in the back seat, "Please, can we stop for just a few minutes?!  They're SO pretty!!"  He's a nice guy... :-)

7:55 p.m. Arrive in Busan

8:17 p.m. Check into hotel room.

8:32 p.m. Go to a seafood restaurant for dinner and eat A LOT.

9:01 p.m. Try, for the first time, raw octopus, whose legs are still wriggling and the suckers stick to me teeth as I chew.

11:27 p.m. Stop at a convenience store for water and juice.

Yes, even people in Korea are obsessed with royalty. ^.^

11:35 p.m. Hail a cab in the rain after dinner.

7:55 a.m. Wake up to go pee, and am blinded by the view from our hotel room because we left the curtains open last night.  After my sight returned, I was a very happy camper upon seeing this...

8:48 a.m. Head downstairs for the hotel breakfast and three cups of coffee.  Hey, don't judge, it was a little weak.  Eunice will back me up on this, right Eunice? ;)

10:13 a.m. Eunice and I gleefully skip across the street to Haeundae Beach, where screaming and giggle fits are audible to passersby.

Bye bye beach, we will miss you...<3

11:42 a.m.  Walk back to our hotel barefoot and in a pleasant daze, shoes and socks in hand, in order to pack our things and check out.

12:39 p.m. Arrive and park near street so we can walk around the market.

2:04 p.m. Buy hoduk from a stand made famous through a Korean reality show.

2:16 p.m. Attempt to snap a pic of the Korean sailors behind us in a discreet manner.

2:17 p.m. Eunice convinces me to ask one to take a picture with me.  Too bad his eyes are closed...lol.

2:43 p.m. Eat cold noodles for lunch at a little restaurant beside the market.

3:30 p.m. Stumble upon a hidden temple while walking through the alleyway to get to the car.

3:36 p.m. Regretfully, we retreat back to the car and make our way home.  All wonderful things have to come to an end.  We say, "See you later Busan, we'll be back."
